The list below shows you all the current interest groups, together with a brief description and a key which depicts whether the group runs in the daytime, evening (or both), whether partners are welcome and whether it's a child-friendly event.
Get together with new and old friends for an enjoyable evening event. We meet in members’ homes and each take along an appetizer or dessert to share, as well as something to drink for the evening. Husbands/partners are welcome too!
We choose our books from our wish list compiled by members. We meet once a month, in the home of one of our members, to discuss the book over a cup of coffee and some munchies.
This is a movie evening with members to watch a new release film. Typically monthly on a Thursday night, with film, time and theatre chosen nearer to the date. Popcorn and kleenex are optional! Girls night out compulsory!
The monthly coffee morning is held in a member’s home and is a relaxed and comfortable way to get to know other members. Remember to take your own mug!
This group helps organize our members into volunteering at specified times in our Community, such as at Kerr Street Mission. We also sponsor a trail near Sheridan College. Some of our socials also include a charity fund raising element.
We meet once a month in members’ homes and learn to prepare new, tasty and tested recipes. With such an international group of members, you are bound to learn & taste something new. Cost of ingredients is shared by all participants.
An ad-hoc group either meeting at a members house or at organized external workshops to make some Craft items. Costs will be paid by members attending.
Craving a bit of local culture? Outings are planned and involve seeking out things to do in Toronto or local area. Including museums, art galleries, exhibitions and trade shows.. the list goes on.
Fun monthly dice and card games in participants homes. Bring some lunch to share so we can eat whilst we play. Games chosen are easy to play and no prior experience is required.
Interested in improving your golf skills? All levels of player welcome. We organize some lessons in May and will look to play a weekly 9 holes from June to October at local courses.
Beginners and experienced skaters are welcome at a local indoor rinks for a weekly Adult only skate in the Winter season.
Come and join a bunch of friendly ladies for lunch and a chat. A different restaurant chosen each month.

An active group meeting on a weekly basis at a member's home or community venue. Great opportunity for moms and their young toddlers / babies to interact for social play time.
Join us for a drink and catch-up with friends. It’s the best place to put faces to names, find out what’s happening this month and, most importantly, meet new friends!
This movie group takes interested members to watch the best of Canadian and International Cinema. The season operates every 2nd Monday at 7.30pm at Cineplex Winston Churchill from September to April. Tickets are $10 and go on sale at 6.45pm at the theatre. Details of the films are notified in advance.
Whether you are looking to learn more about plant-based recipes or simply looking for ideas to incorporate plant-based dishes into your weekly menu, this group is for you. We get to prepare and then taste the recipe dishes at a members home.
Catering to all women with a sweet tooth, we get together and forage for cake, crepes and other sugary treats to enjoy with coffee and company.
Thursday morning running group open to beginners and experienced runners alike.
A new daytime group for members who like to complete their own sewing or craft project, whilst socializing with other members over a cup tea / coffee.
Exploring Halton conservation parks, waterfall hikes and parts of the Bruce Trail usually taking place every month. Visits include the different waterfalls of Hamilton and discover other trails together. We typically carpool from a location in Oakville.
Wondering what to do now that you have free time on your hands now that the children have gone off to University, College or find yourself in an empty nest? This group typically meets at a coffee spot in and around Oakville once a month.
Want to get together with other fun dog owners (and their dogs) in the club and relax in an off leash setting. This event is organized on an ad-hoc basis and can be weather dependant. Bring some coffee and your dog!
Mixing your love of wine and friendships in a casual tasting atmosphere. Held monthly at a members home, the group will elevate your wine experience while tasting and learning about a certain region or grape. Wine tasting is on the menu with an educational component. This is a fun evening group.
Seasonal ActivitiesDuring winter season we may also have activities such as snow shoeing, skiing, cross country skiing. During the year, we may look to create events for families / children.
