The Oakville Newcomers Club is a non-profit organization and an official Chapter of the National Newcomers Association of Canada. (www.nnac.ca) The group was created to help women new to Oakville connect with each other, make new friends and settle into the Oakville community together.
The ONC organizes fun, interesting activities for women who are new to Oakville within the last 4 years, or those ladies that maybe have had a change of life-situation where she is in need of meeting new people. Our Club also welcomes back our Alumni members who may have moved to Oakville decades ago, but now want to join back in our fun activities. Our club has over 100 members representing a wide age range and many different nationalities. ONC's diversity helps everyone to feel welcome. |
As part of our Community Outreach group, in 2014 ONC adopted a section of the McCraney Valley Trail. We have pledged to keep the trail litter free and report any issues to the Town of Oakville. It's very much part of our ONC family and we meet there monthly, enjoying each other's company and the beautiful trail as we look after it.
