About Us

The Oakville Newcomers Club is a non-profit organization and  an official member of the National Newcomers Association of Canada. The group was created to help women new to Oakville connect with each other, make new friends and settle into the Oakville community together.

The ONC organizes fun, interesting activities for women and their families who are new to Oakville, or  who have lived in Oakville for less than three years.  The group hosts a monthly social, offers many activities for member, member and tots/children, families and events with partners.

Our club has over 100 members representing a wide age range and many different nationalities.  ONC's diversity helps everyone to feel welcome.

As part of our Community Outreach group, in 2014 ONC adopted a section of the McCraney Valley Trail. We have pledged to keep the trail litter free and report any issues to the Town of Oakville.  It's very much part of our ONC family and we meet there monthly, enjoying each other's company and the beautiful trail as we look after it.

Have you lived in Oakville for more than 4 years but would like to join the Club?  Please contact us and we will gladly introduce you to Oakville Newcomers Alumni - this club caters for newcomers who have lived in the area for a longer period of time.  See our Join Us page for more information on eligibility.
