Message from the President
Dear Newcomer,
Hello and welcome to Oakville!
I would like to take this opportunity to personally welcome you to the Oakville Newcomers’
Club 2009-10, and as a new resident you are invited to join the Club. We are a non-profit,
volunteer organization, formed for the benefit of women and their families who have moved to
Oakville within the last 3 years.
The mission of the ONC is to assist newcomers to Oakville and help them make new friends.
By attending monthly socials and joining the many interest groups, you will meet a wide variety
of people from all over the world, and also become familiar with all the amenities that our
beautiful town of Oakville has to offer.
You will receive an electronic monthly newsletter which outlines the many interest groups
and a list of the monthly social events. The socials, which are on the second Tuesday of every
month from September to May, are held at the Burloak Canoe Club, 160 Water Street.
At the monthly social you can find out more about the many interest groups, talk to new friends
and enjoy the program planned for the evening.

The cost to join is $35 per year.
