OAKVILLE NEWCOMERS' ALUMNI CLUB
Mission Statement
The alumni club offers
newcomers the opportunity to continue the friendships they have made
during their 3 years in newcomers as well as developing new
friendships.
As a third year member of
Oakville Newcomers' Club, it is not unusual for people to feel sad
about leaving the club and a little apprehensive about joining
Alumni. However, they can be assured of a very warm welcome to
the Oakville Newcomers' Alumni Club.
We have a wide range of
interest groups that new members can join including walking, stitch
and chat, wine tasting, pot luck lunch, nite owls, pub night, bridge,
euchre, golf, lawn bowling, mahjong, book clubs, skiing, moms and
tots, breakfast club and quilting, etc. Several of our groups
are run jointly with newcomers including gardening, etc.
During the year we hold
several special events including: registration/September welcome,
December holiday event, Christmas luncheon/dinner, Spring Social and
our Annual dinner.
Membership is only $25.00 a
year and members receive a monthly newsletter which keeps them up to
date with our events and news.
